I’m an enthusiastic sci-commer and tentative blogger.

After my Zoology degree at Leeds I had a brief foray into conservation, working at the United Nations Environment Programme’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre. But an internship writing for BirdLife made me realise it was the communication and especially writing that really got me excited. After working as a press assistant for the British Science Association I’m now on the Sci Comm MSc at Imperial, which I’m finding frankly brilliant.

As well as this, I’m doing some features and reviews for BioNews, and the Imperial magazine, I,Science.

I’ve also recently entered the weird and wonderful world of science knitting, and am part of the Genetiknits project.

I’m on twitter, harrietvickers, or drop me a message at harriet.vickers09@imperial.ac.uk.
